This may be the last post about the Miley Cyrus Concert

After the horror of the Metro Station band, I knew that anythig would be better.  Since they had taken away my camera, since the lense was over 3 inches long, I guess it looked “professional”.  As we waited in line there were several people working security, as well as just walking up and down the line.  Some of them would talk to the bothersome peon’s trying to get into the concert, but others would not speak to us.  We were not worthy.  No one who saw me with my camera said a thing to me.  There was no mention that it might violate any kind of a rule.  If there had been a mention I could have either argued my case or taken the camera back out to the car.  Nothing.

We finallygot to the front of the line, and that was when they had dropped the bomb. “Sir you cannot bring that camera into the stadium.”

Having spent time in the Army, I know that when you are under fire, you don’t question what the expectations are, you follow the orders of the person in charge.  So I told my family to hold on and I would run out to the van and leave the camera out there.  My wife asked the lady, “Is there a place we can check the camer?”  The lady made no effort until then, and she said “Oh sure, there is a customer service stand right here around the corner.”  She was going to have me go put the camera in the car, and then get back at the end of the line.  What a twit. I don’t know who the twit was, me for not thinking of it, or her for not mentioning it. Ugh!

There was nothing in the Miley Cyrus concert that was recognizable. I know that she is trying to break away from her “Hannah” image, but come on.  My daughter did not want to see Miley Cyrus because she was Miley Cyrus, she wanted to see her because of “Hannah”.  Come on Miley, don’t forget about the horse you rode in.  It would have been nice to hear two or four  of the Hannah songs that made you famous.

Highlights of the concert:

When Miley got on a Harley, during one of her songs and it flew above the audience on the main floor.  My daughter tells people about that more than any other part of the concert.

I was with the 3 people who are the most important to me.  I didn’t like much of it other than that.  And that was enough to make it fun.
